Cancellation Policy

GuideHop allows hosts to choose among three standardized cancellation policies (Flexible, Moderate and Strict) that we will enforce to protect both Guides and Guests. Each listing and reservation on our site will clearly state the cancellation policy. Guests may cancel and review any penalties by viewing their activity plans and then clicking 'Cancel' on the appropriate reservation.

Flexible: Full refund 1 day prior to activity start, except fees

  • Must be made a full 24 hours prior to local time on the day of Tour or Activity start time. For example, if your activity starts on Friday at 1:00pm, cancel by the previous Thursday at 1:00pm.
  • If the guest cancels less than 24 hours in advance, the activity is non-refundable.
  • The GuideHop service fee is non-refundable.
  • If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to GuideHop within 24 hours of Tour or Activity start.
  • GuideHop will mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes.
  • A reservation is not officially canceled until the guest receives a cancellation confirmation e-mail from GuideHop. To get your cancellation e-mail, go to Upcoming Activities to Cancel the activity. If the cancellation e-mail is not received, contact support@guidehop.com.

Moderate: Full refund 5 days prior to activity start, except fees

  • Must be made five full days prior to local time on the day of tour or activity. For example, if tour/activity starts on Friday at 1pm, cancel by the previous Sunday before 1pm.
  • If the guest cancels less than 5 days in advance, the activity is non-refundable.
  • The GuideHop service fee is non-refundable.
  • If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to GuideHop within 24 hours of Tour or Activity start.
  • Guidehop will mediate when necessary, and has the final say in all disputes.

Strict: Full refund 30 days prior to activity start, except fees

  • Must be made thirty full days prior to local time on the day of tour or activity. For example, if tour/activity starts on Friday at 1pm, cancel 30 days prior before 1pm.
  • If the guest cancels less than 30 days in advance, the activity is non-refundable.
  • The GuideHop service fee is non-refundable.
  • If there is a complaint from either party, notice must be given to GuideHop within 24 hours of Tour or Activity start.
