Scuba Dive Spring Water

4

Description

Modest
Open booking

Central Texas is full of spring water.  This makes it perfect for scuba diving.  Not only is the water clear,  it also means its a constant temperature year around!

I have enough gear to take 4 people diving.  If you are a licensed diver there are a ton of places to go depending on what you want to see.  I know of some cool car wrecks into a lake that we could explore,  there is a local dive park,  or just great places to see wildlife like turtles and talipia.

If you are new to scuba diving,  I’ll take you out on Barton Creek (max depth 12 feet)  and teach you some basics &  give you a feel for what it would be like to scuba dive.  This is an excellent way to get a taste of the scuba life without a bigger commitment and the wildlife there is plentiful.  Even though its shallow,  its one of my favorite places to dive and its conveniently located downtown.

What's Included

I’ll provide all the equipment and a waterproof camera to document your experience.

What to bring?

A dive license is required for deep dives,  but i’ll take anyone chasing fish and turtles in Barton Creek.

Aaron is a rare combination.  He blends a free-spirited,  extremely fun side with an intelligent planning/business mind.  He is very creative &  has a positive energy that makes him enjoyable just to be around.

I wanted to propose to my girlfriend,  here in Austin,  under water.  I searched dive shops high &  low and could not find anyone to make my plan become a reality.  After one two hour planning session with Aaron,  the proposal was set.  NO ONE else even came CLOSE TO HIM in their attention to detail and guts/creativity to try something different.

Aaron put in many hours outside of the time I booked to have everything perfect and it could not have gone any better!  His friend John,  another great guy,  came along as a videographer and compiled a professional compilation of the dive/proposal set to music.  It was phenomenal.

I have done a great deal of traveling over the years and worked with guides for diving and other activities on three continents.  Aaron is BY FAR the best guide that I have ever met!

I would highly recommend doing anything that he says is fun in Austin,  TX!!

Oh yeah,  the spring water here in Austin is pretty clear.  We went early on a Saturday morning,  partly cloudy day and had 3-5 meter visibility.  Way better than Lake Travis’  1 foot visibility and lots of available local marine life (turtles,  small fish,  etc.).

Aaron is an excellent guide and a ton of fun to hang out with!  He makes the trip interesting by not only providing a cool,  informative tour but also being adventurous and flexible to the customers needs.  I highly recommend going on one of his tours.

Breathing underwater,  chasing turtles,  finding treasure,  and confusing kayakers all made for a one-of-a-kind experience I would soon repeat.  Thanks,  Aaron!

Scuba diving was so much fun!  I’m certified to scuba dive,  and even though we just went to the river and weren’t very deep,  it was still a lot of fun!  If you’ve never been diving,  this is a great way to learn.  There is none of the danger of deep water diving.

Aaron is a very responsible guide who knows and respects peoples’  limitations,  but also knows how to have fun beyond what most people would normally venture to try.  His equipment was fairly new and in very good condition.  At no point did anything feel shady or unsafe.

Even though we were only in the river,  there were lots of fish to spot,  and plenty of turtles to chase and catch.

I totally recommend this one!  It’s worth the money for sure!

Aaron is a busy guy!  Between teaching,  traveling the world,  finding new and exciting ways to earn a bit of extra cash,  hitchhiking and many other various outdoor activites he finds time to provide awesome and unique tours.  Me,  my wife and a few friends went on the full moon island tour.  Aaron paddled us and about 20 other people each way!!!  It was a great time!  Now I need to do his scooter tour!

I only date Aaron for the adventure—caving,  kayaking,  cliff jumping,  tandem biking,  moped riding,  rock hopping,  hitchhiking,  frisbee golfing,  camping,  night hiking,  glow-in-the-dark ultimate frisbee,  bonfires,  sliding down waterfalls,  unicycle football—everyone knows these are essential elements of any successful relationship.

I have known Aaron all his life and   am still being amazed at his creativity and ability to see what others do not.  He can take you places you’ve never been while doing so safely and thriftily.  He truly finds joy in life.  You will find joy and adventure with Aaron.

I’ve been friends with Aaron for a couple of years and he is easily the most active,  adventure-seeking person I know.  Aaron is the poster boy for a GuideHop guide:  he’s passionate about the activities he guides,  he’s an excellent instructor and experienced guide,  and he’s just a good,  down-to-earth guy that loves meeting new people and showing them his city.  I highly recommend you go on one of Aaron’s (very unique and fun!)  activities.

Aaron is a very energetic and extraverted person.  he is able to talk or communicate with any nationality from around the world (just look at the pictures).  He is always looking for adventure wherever he goes,  or plans on going,  to include getting there with spending as little a possible while doing it.  He is responsible,  and knows the limits (whatever they may be).  You will be amazed at the things he can find to do when you think there is nothing going on around you.  If you are looking for adventure,  then you have found your match.  Just remember,  be careful what you ask for.  Aaron will take you to the limit and you will enjoy it for a lifetime.
