Mayan Fire Healing Ceremony

I would do this activity

Description

Easy
Open booking

Fire cleansing ceremonies give thanks and offer blessings to the gods.  Adding medicial plants,  incensce,  candles,  and other offerings to the fire releases the essence which “gifts the air”  with its healing elements.  This extends the vibration of healing energy to all around.  Fire carries the prayers into the spirit world.
You will witness a curandera (spirit guide)  perform this ceremony in a sacred grotto on a mountain side high over Lake Atitlan.  People attend the ceremonies to ask for help with emotional or physical problems,  or to receive protection or cleansing of spiritual impurities.  You may participate or have your own personal ceremony performed if you wish.

What's Included

Transportation to the caves and English speaking guide.  You may want to bring your own offerings.

What to bring?

You must be respectful.  This is not a tourist activity that is done for your enjoyment.  This ceremony is done from the heart and from the true belief of the shaman.

I look forward to sharing Guatemala and leading adventures with the goal of providing a genuine immersion to Guatemalan culture.  I help you connect with the authentic essense of the Mayan culture and its people,  deepening your understanding of the world,  its cultures,  and yourself.
My goal is to inspire and guide those who travel to Guatemala,  and will guide you in your quest to connect with the people and experience their culture.

I am a life-long adventure traveler,  always looking for the path less taken.  In 2005,  I settled on the shores of Lake Atitlán and fell in love with the lake and its people.  I have years of experience as an adventurer;  rafting,  hiking,  biking,  rock climbing,  camping,  and teambuilding.

Qualifications & Experience

I have become known as a guide who will honor and respect the ceremony and its participants.  This has taken years to develop this trust.
